Field services

Veterinary care at your barn

Your horse's health doesn't always fit in a clinic visit. Our field service team brings routine care, dental work, diagnostics and emergency treatment to your farm, stable or boarding barn.

A farm call saves you the trailer ride and keeps your horse calm at home.

We provide field services to a select area of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Not sure if you're in our area? Call or text 402.408.6777 and ask.

What we can do on a farm call

  • Exams and vaccines

Yearly check-ups, vaccines and deworming to keep your horses healthy and performing.

  • Lameness and injuries

On-site exams and treatment for lameness, soft tissue injuries and other musculoskeletal problems, with follow-up care.

  • Dental care

Oral exams and floating, done at your place.

  • Emergencies

Fast response for urgent problems, including wound care and colic treatment.

  • Diagnostics

Portable X-ray, ultrasound and blood work, so we can diagnose and start treatment on the spot.

Getting ready for a farm call

  • For dental floats, have running water, electricity and a stall or similar area for us to work in.
  • Plan on about 30 minutes per horse for a float. Large groups may be split across visits.
  • No indoor space? Book fall dental work in October rather than December.

A note on emergencies. If you're more than 30 minutes from the clinic, we may ask you to haul your horse in. It's often the fastest way to get treatment started. Read our emergency care policy.
