In spring and summer, breeding mares and caring for foals take up a big part of our days.
Whether you're breeding one mare or managing a breeding program, we'll help you plan each step and use ultrasound and hormone testing to give your mare the best chance of a healthy pregnancy.
Reproduction services
- Mare breeding management
Hormone testing, ultrasound monitoring and fertility checks, with a breeding plan built for your mare.
- Stallion collection and shipping
Semen collection, evaluation and shipment of fresh cooled semen within the continental United States.
- Artificial insemination
Breeding with fresh or frozen semen, so you can use top stallions without hauling your mare.

Embryo collection and transfer to a recipient mare, for mares that can't carry a foal or for high-value programs.
- Pregnancy monitoring
Ultrasound checks from as early as 14 days, then ongoing monitoring to catch concerns early.
- Reproductive treatment
Uterine infections, cysts and other conditions that affect fertility or pregnancy.
Foaling and newborn care

When it's time for your mare to foal, our team is available to help. We provide newborn exams, preventive care for healthy foals, and diagnosis and treatment for sick ones, along with advice on care and nutrition.
If your mare or foal needs care beyond what we offer, we'll refer you to the university hospital that best fits their needs.
All mares must be vaccinated before they are admitted to the clinic.
